WORKERS UNITED
We are SureBuilt workers organizing for better pay, job security, safety, dignity, and respect
We Deserve Higher Wages, Benefits, Safety, Security, and Dignity!
At Surebuilt, safety is an everyday concern. Outdated equipment, lack of proper training, and minimal access to PPE have led to frequent injuries — with little effort from management to improve conditions. We work in fear, without clear safety protocols in place.
Job security is also uncertain. Many of us have worked here for years, yet remain temporary employees. The path to a permanent position is unclear and unfair.
Above all, we deserve dignity. Constant surveillance, pressure to work faster, and micromanagement over basic needs like bathroom breaks create a stressful and dehumanizing environment.
We’re standing together to demand the respect and protections every worker deserves.
Together, We have the Power to Win
We can only win if we get together and have power in numbers. The only way to have any guarantees from management is through a union contract which is why we have asked Painters District Council 14 to help us unionize.
Individually fighting for ourselves throughout the years has gotten us nowhere. Many of us have been stuck in the same place for years with false hopes from management.
We have learned that coming together and negotiating with Surebuilt is the only real way to achieve any job security, better wages, benefits, safety and dignity.
The first step is to speak with an organizer to gather the facts, allowing you to make an informed decision. An organizer will take the time to clarify the steps and requirements for joining a union. Avoid listening to false rumors from misinformed co-workers or management. You can reach out to us by filling out this form. Don’t worry, you’re not committing to anything!
Sign an authorization card. To hold a union election, at least 30% of us must sign an authorization card. The more of our co-workers who sign, the stronger our position will be when we vote. This does not mean you’re committing to anything; it simply means we are permitted to have a vote on whether we want a union or not.
